At Bettencourt Jewellery, we believe you deserve to see exactly how a piece will look when worn — its scale, its weight, its presence on a real body. Achieving this with photography alone requires models, studios, and productions that are not always within reach of an independent jewellery house.
So we use AI-assisted imagery for one purpose: to show a piece at life-like scale, on a real body. In those images the jewellery begins as a photograph of the actual piece. The setting and the model are AI-generated, the scale of the piece within the scene is reconstructed by hand, and a final AI pass harmonises light and shadow so the piece sits naturally in the frame.
We are deliberate about the limits of this. An AI-assisted image is an impression of how a piece is worn. It is not a measurement, and we do not present it as one.
Always photographed: the piece itself. Every product page carries three or four unaltered photographs of the actual article — its design, materials, gemstones, proportions and finish. What you see in those images is what you receive.
Recreated with AI: the setting, the model, the lighting of the scene, and the scale of the piece within it. Scale in particular is reconstructed to approximate true wearable proportions as closely as we can — it is a careful approximation, not a measurement.
