Return and Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains your rights as a consumer, in accordance with European Union legislation.

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, you have the right to cancel your order without giving any reason, within 14 calendar days from the date you receive your item(s).

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel the purchase by means of a clear statement, by email, to customerservice@bettencourt-jewellery.com, before the end of the 14-day period.

Conditions for Return

For a return to be accepted, the product must:

  • Be in perfect, unused condition
  • Be returned in its original packaging, with all tags and certificates included
  • Be accompanied by the invoice or proof of purchase

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Customized or made-to-order products (for example, items with personalized engraving)
  • Earrings and other piercing jewellery, for hygiene reasons, if the protective seal has been broken

Return Period and Process

Once you have informed us of your intention to return an item, you will have 14 days to send the product back to us. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, unless the return is due to a defect or an error on our part.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a full refund of the amount paid (including the original shipping costs, where applicable) within a maximum of 14 days, using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

We reserve the right to withhold the refund until we receive the returned item, or until we receive proof that it has been shipped, whichever comes first.

Damaged or Defective Products

If you receive a damaged or defective product, you are entitled, under Directive (EU) 2019/771 on the conformity of goods, to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or termination of the contract, at no additional cost to you.
